Someone finally had the guts to publish this

If I see another media headline like this, I think I'm gonna lose it...

  • "KFC's new fried chicken and doughnut sandwich is terrifying and delicious"
  • "Jimmy Kimmel's Son Billy Digs into Popeyes Chicken Sandwich: 'Even 2-Year-Olds Can't Resist'"
  • "Pizza Hut goes totally crackers with new Stuffed Cheez-It Pizza"
  • 'Baby Shark cereal coming to a breakfast table near you"
  • "The Cinderella Latte At Starbucks Is A Disney Lover's Dream Come True"

Sounds like advertisements, huh? The media has no problem promoting the latest and greatest toxic food products, and many times you'll find that they're influenced by PR companies hired by the food industry to create a "buzz" about their food. It's a slick marketing tactic that many people fall for.

Every time I see an article like this, I think why don't they write about what's in these products? Why don't they ask what the ingredients are so people know what's in these latest inventions? I really wish more journalists had the guts to do this, but most don't.

That's why I was so surprised (and excited) to see our work blasted on the front page of international news last Friday: Read the article here

They published our side-by-side ingredient comparisons of food companies selling safer products with entirely different ingredients in other countries. It's about time these unethical practices by American food companies gets revealed for the whole world to see.

I was interviewed on this subject (and on my book) by a major nationwide news agency a few months ago, and the night before it was set to run, they pulled the article. When I pressed for reasons why, they said there "has been more FoodBabe controversy than my editors seem to feel worth sticking our neck out for"

I've learned how corrupt the media industry can be in not willing to take a risk to tell the truth – because reporting the truth about our food would cost them money in the form of advertisements from Big Food corporations. If the newspapers did report the truth about how food companies exploit Americans, the whole system would unravel.

Please go read and share this article - the more people who know, the more change we will see!

Xo,

Vani

P.S. The article quotes some old critics of mine, such as Yvette d'Entremont. Information has come out that shows how she is tied to the food & chemical industries, which are detailed out here by the non-profit group US Right To Know. She previously worked for a controversial pesticide company that had an agreement with Monsanto, and she has been hired to speak by CropLife, Monsanto, and Dupont. Her work is further promoted by front groups for the food industry, such as the American Council on Science and Health and the Genetic Literacy Project. Apparently these critics want to keep eating these chemicals, and to them I say - Bottoms up!

I don't want to be disappointed in you

I see that you haven't signed our petition asking Kellogg's to remove artificial ingredients from their cereals.

And, I'd like to know why you haven't signed it.

Doesn't it make you angry that Kellogg's sells the same cereals without harmful ingredients in other countries?

Doesn't it make you angry that Kellogg's said they were going to remove these ingredients, but continues to create new cereals with them? If this doesn't make you angry, why not?

If you are reading this email right now, it can't be because signing is too time consuming (you can sign here in less than 30 seconds).

You might be thinking that petitions don't work and that it's a waste of your time. Is that it? You may not be aware, but our previous petitions prove that they work:

  • We petitioned Subway to remove azodicarbonamide (aka the "yoga mat chemical") from their bread and more than 50,000 petition signatures later - they removed it. Including removing all artificial ingredients. And then we later petitioned them to remove routine antibiotics - and they did.
  • We petitioned the 2 largest beer makers (Anheuser Busch and MillerCoors) to publish the ingredients in their beers online. Within just 36 hours, we received confirmation that they would do just that.
  • We called out Starbucks for the class IV caramel coloring in their famous Pumpkin Spice Latte, which prompted them to remove it from their drinks and post the ingredients in their drinks for the first time in history.
  • Kraft finally answered our call to remove artificial dyes from their iconic Mac & Cheese. After 365,000 petition signatures, a visit to their headquarters, and a viral campaign, the artificial dyes were removed.

You are a valuable part of the Food Babe Army and your voice matters. Is there a specific reason why you haven't signed the petition?

Please reply and let me know.

We could never have made these incredible changes without the entire Food Babe Army - and with you, one of my loyal readers here, I'm counting on you.

Please sign our petition to Kellogg's right now.

Thank you for adding your voice! I'll be in touch soon…

Vani

Answer this question

Ever feel weird after eating certain types of food?

Maybe a little bloated?

Or "heavy?"

Last week we introduced our new product - Easy Enzymes - and we asked people why they bought it. Here's what they said:

  • I bought Easy Enzymes because of how they feel after eating certain foods, like beef. "I can feel bad for up to 48 hours."

  • I bought Easy Enzymes because of how I feel after eating carbs or dairy. "I feel bloated after eating these foods."

  • I bought Easy Enzymes because I love huge salads, but "I dread how I feel after eating them."

You see, we love good food.

But it doesn't always love us back.

And that's why people use digestive enzymes.

Digestive enzymes can help with metabolic and digestive support*

And that's why we are happy about our new product, Easy Enzymes, which is Truvani's new digestive enzyme.

You can learn about it here

Now, here's the thing…

Truvani Easy Enzymes is available at launch special pricing.

(This is your chance to save up to 25% off retail with monthly delivery).

But it expires tonight.

It's simple really:

The retail price of our Easy Enzyme is $24.99

However, if you order today, on autoship, it's only $18.74.

Here's the link

You get 30 days to try it, and if you aren't completely in love, you get a full refund, no questions asked.

Did you know digestive enzymes can also support your _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ _ ?

So, I shared why I take a digestive enzyme. The full story is here.

But, did you know that taking a daily digestive enzyme can help support your metabolism

Research shows that our metabolism slows down as we age.

But there are things that you can do to help.

Including a diverse digestive enzyme supplement into your health routine can support the rate at which your body breaks down food and eliminates fat.

Plus a healthier metabolism = more energy.

And who doesn't want more energy??

By taking a digestive enzyme supplement you can aid your body's ability to break down the foods that you eat.

When your food gets properly broken down into the good stuff like amino acids, vitamins, and minerals… your body is better able to unlock the nutrients.

Less energy needs to go into digestion, so you have more energy to power through your day.

Fire up your metabolism with our Easy Enzymes digestive enzyme supplement.

Xo,

Vani

P.S. Now's the perfect time to give our Easy Enzymes a try...

Because until Monday September 23rd, you can try our new Easy Enzymes at "Special Launch Pricing" ($18.74 on a monthly shipment, or $22.49 on one-time purchases)

The #1 reason I take this

So, we just launched a new digestive enzyme. It's called Easy Enzymes, and people keep asking, "Why do you take a digestive enzyme?"

Here's the #1 reason:

You've heard the phrase "You are what you eat."

But the truth is:

We are what we digest and absorb.

And Digestive Enzymes can help the digestive tract properly breakdown foods that contain difficult-to-digest nutrients*.

So, we created the Truvani Digestive Enzyme, Easy Enzymes to help.

But you may have questions.

Important questions.

Like:

Question #1: "Does our body naturally produce digestive enzymes?"

Question #2: "How do I know if I should consider trying a digestive enzyme?"

And I have an answer for each of them.

Question #1: "Does our body naturally produce digestive enzymes?"

Our body naturally produces digestive enzymes...

...But there are many factors that can affect our body's ability to produce enough enzymes.

Some of which include...

* Age

* Stress

* Poor gut health

* Chewing gum (crazy, right?)

* Genetics

* Lack of exercise

* Dietary changes

* Drinking alcoholic beverages

* Poor sleep quality

* Lack of variety in diet

And that's exactly why we created our broad-spectrum one-per-day Easy Enzymes supplement.

To help people who are worried about their gut health and digestion.

Question #2: "How do I know if I should consider trying a digestive enzyme?"

If you experience any of these, you may want to try Digestive Enzymes to see if it can help you.

I actually started taking digestive enzymes when I would go out to eat at a restaurant. I'd keep them in my purse "just in case."

...because sometimes the food I love doesn't love me back.

Now you might have other questions…

...and I totally get it.

You can email the Truvani support team at support@truvani.com or you can see all the other questions and answers on this page here.

Just remember:

Right now, until September 23rd, you can try our new digestive enzyme, Easy Enzymes, for $18.74 on autoship. (the normal price is $24.99).

And it's backed by a simple guarantee: try Easy Enzymes for 30 days. If you don't like the results, email our team before the 30th day and ask for a refund.

Vani

How I eat the food I love without worry

Is it really possible to eat the food you love without worry?

YES!

I spend a BIG chunk of my day thinking about food.

Where to get it.

How to prep it.

How to serve it.

You could say I'm a bit obsessive...

Is it all worth it?

100%.

We all deserve to fuel our bodies with the best, because that's what we need to survive and thrive.

But sometimes the food we eat doesn't agree with us.

And we are surprised by:

  • Gas and bloating
  • Heaviness in the stomach
  • Embarrassing burps
  • General stomach discomfort

It's a total bummer.

Because the fact is:

Our gut needs diverse strains of enzymes to help break down different foods into core nutrients needed to support your bodily functions.

And here's a shocker:

Your body may not even MAKE the enzymes to properly digest some of the foods you love.

That's why I wanted to create Truvani's newest product - Easy Enzymes.

Formulated with a balanced blend of 9 crucial enzymes…

Our digestive enzyme supplement can support your digestion so that you can eat the foods that you love without worry.

Booyah!

So, if you're as gung-ho about giving you and your family the best…

Make sure their (and your) bodies have the right enzymes to make the most of your favorite foods.

And right now you can try our Easy Enzymes at Launch Special Pricing until the 23rd of September.

Check it out here

Check out Truvani’s latest product release

Yesterday I sent you an email mentioning a second "must-have" thing I bring with me everytime I eat out - and today you can see what it is:

(If you just can't wait, you can click the link here)

It's something I've wanted to share with you since the beginning of Truvani.

Because fact is…

I LOVE food.

But it doesn't always love me back lol.

Sometimes after eating my favorite foods I get bloated and definitely don't feel my best.

So, I reached out to some friends to see what I could do.

Thankfully, they had an AMAZING supplement suggestion.

So I took their (genius) advice, and noticed a world of difference.

And after years of taking this recommended supplement, I went ahead and created one that passed Truvani's high standards.

It also happens to be the second "must-have" I keep stocked in my purse when I eat out.

And I absolutely LOVE it!

It's allowed me to enjoy my favorite foods while keeping those nasty belly bloats at bay.

On that note…

The entire table was STUNNED when I pulled this out

You might have seen me going all in on Kellogg's over the past week:

Here's the scoop:

I put together a petition to get them to take all the nasty artificial colors and preservatives out of the cereals they market to our children.

And I'm proud to announce we've already surpassed 40k+ signatures!

...but as I've said:

Big companies don't change fast enough.

This is why I've also been focused on creating remarkable products over at my company Truvani.

And something new is coming soon!

(On Tuesday, September 17th).

What is it?

You'll learn tomorrow, but here's a hint:

It relates to your digestion.

Like it or not, the foods that you love, don't always love you back :(

This is why I take this supplement with me in my purse every time I go to a restaurant.  I also take it with other meals, too.

And when I pull it out, people always act shocked: "What is that?"

When I tell them, they almost always understand.

So, look for an email from me on Tuesday, Sept. 17th.

We are launching a NEW Truvani product that is game-changer when it comes to digestion - so stay tuned.

While we wait, I have a quick question for you:

Xo,

Vani

P.S. I'd like to remind you to check your inbox tomorrow for Truvani's newest product announcement.

It is YOUR job to be her parent...

I leaped out of my seat when I read this email. I received this shortly after launching the Kellogg's petition this week.

We all have personal responsibility, but there are still a lot of people out there who don't know the truth about the food they are eating and buying for their kids.

What about the parents who trust their doctors and give their children ADHD medications, not realizing that removing artificial colors from their diet could make a world of difference?

What about the kids on the school lunch program eating Froot Loops full of risky dyes and preservative BHT?

You may know the risks in our food - but not everyone does. I'd dare say that MOST people would be SHOCKED if they knew what the government allows in food products...

Did you know that there's an artificial color in Baby Shark Cereal that is banned from cosmetics because it's a cancer risk? Yet they put it in kid's cereal! (This is Red #3).

Most people do not know what additives like Red #3, Yellow #5, and BHT could be doing to their health or the health of their kids.

I've made it my mission to tell people the truth. And I want companies to change, because it is wrong to sell poisons for profit. Especially when it's being marketed towards our children.

Let's hold Kellogg's accountable. Continue signing and sharing this petition.

We are now over 38,000 signatures strong and growing every minute... Thank you for your voice.

Xo,

Vani

P.S. I shared this on Instagram yesterday and there were over a 900 comments! If you're on Instagram, make sure to follow me.

This will make you so mad

Nothing makes me more angry than when a company makes safer versions of their products to sell in other countries. This is maddening.

If this makes you angry too, please share and sign our petition, which now has over 33,000 signatures. We need all of your voices to make this hypocrisy end once and for all.

Why should American children needlessly consume these controversial chemicals if Kellogg's has already figured out how to make their cereals without it?

Artificial colors can be contaminated with carcinogens and cause an increase in hyperactivity in children according to a University of Southhampton study.

BHT is an endocrine disrupting chemical that can affect children's hormones.

This has to stop.

Tell Kellogg's to sell the same safer cereals everywhere by signing this important petition and share it with your friends.

Thank you for your voice. It matters.

Xo,

Vani

P.S. If you've already signed, please consider sharing this email, by simply forwarding it to your friends and family. We are going to need everyone to make this happen.

Kellogg’s responds to our petition during TV appearance

Our new petition now has over 25,000+ signatures and counting, and it's only been 48 hours! There is power in numbers and it's safe to say that we are getting Kellogg's attention...

I made an appearance yesterday on a morning TV show and we received an official response from Kelloggs: Watch the news clip and see Kellogg's response here.

And let me tell you, there's some really shady stuff going on...

I give you all the juicy details in this breaking petition update. Please go read it now and please sign the petition.

Kellogg's needs to be held accountable. They keep saying one thing, but doing another. This is unethical. We can't count on our government to do anything. We can't count on anyone but ourselves to make this happen. It's up to us! Grassroots movements like this work.

Share our petition today. Simply hit the social share buttons to share instantly or forward this email to your friends and family. It takes 2 seconds and makes a difference.

Thank you for standing by my side. We are changing the world!

Xo,

Vani

P.S. Don't forget to share the petition again today, even if you've already shared it once. You can find the latest breaking updates on my Facebook and Instagram pages. Let's double our signatures by the end of week! Go Food Babe Army, Go!

16k+ signatures and counting! Have you signed it?

At the time of writing this email we've now surpassed 16,000 signatures on our petition to Kellogg's. This is amazing!!! But our work is not done. We are taking on a multi-billion dollar food company, and need all the help we can get.

** IMPORTANT: Please share our petition with everyone you know. Simply hit the social share buttons to share instantly. It takes 2 seconds. You can also forward this email.**

If everyone can get even one of their friends to sign, we will double our signatures overnight! Let's do this. Keep going!

We've got to hold Kellogg's accountable. Artificial colors should NOT be in food - especially in food marketed with cartoons aimed at our children.

These dyes require a warning label in other countries because they cause hyperactivity in children. Kellogg's knows this and doesn't use artificial colors in other countries. This is outrageous!

Even if you're not a parent, or would never ever feed your child Kellogg's Baby Shark Cereal, your support for this petition is helping others. Not everyone knows what these artificial ingredients are doing to their kids. I get emails like this one all the time...

"After being told about your blog by family members, I have completely changed how I shop and feed my family.  And have seen improvements in my kids when we've cut out food dyes from our diet. I have one son that is borderline ADHD, has classic symptoms, and when he's had a red Gatorade, for example, he's off the chart crazy and goes bonkers.  It's insane what is in our food system in the USA, of all places!! It drives me crazy when I talk to moms who's kids have actually been diagnosed with ADHD and are medicated for it, but they give them colored gatorade or Cheetos or other foods that have food dye in them that are just pouring fuel on the fire and they don't even know it.  So, I gently point them to it because it's crazy how unaware most consumers are. It makes me sick and I for sure put my money where my mouth is and only shop organic and brands I know are striving for more whole natural foods. Thank you for all you do to push this agenda!! " - Emily

It is time to stop Kellogg's lies! If you do anything today, please share our petition and help spread the word.

You are making a meaningful difference in our world and I can't thank you enough!

Xo,

Vani

Petition: It’s time to end Kellogg’s Lies

Today I am launching a petition asking Kellogg's to remove all artificial colors, artificial flavors and BHT from their cereals: SIGN THE PETITION NOW.

When I saw Kellogg's brand new Baby Shark Cereal my heart sank. My daughter who is 2 years old LOVES the Baby Shark song - and I knew when she saw it she would want a box.

It is filled with the absolute WORST ingredients and targets young children and toddlers. This is wrong.

Kellogg's sells all cereals without BHT and artificial colors overseas in other countries with stricter laws. Why not in America too? Kellogg's knows better, so they should do better.

In 2015, Kellogg's announced plans to remove artificial colors and artificial flavors from their American cereals by the end of 2018.

They never did.

Kellogg's still sells children's cereals with these artificial ingredients.

Even worse, Kellogg's is launching NEW cereals filled with artificial ingredients specifically targeting young children, such as Baby Shark Cereal and Unicorn Cereal.

Kellogg's is SAYING one thing, but DOING another. Where is their integrity?

Kelloggs Food Babe Baby Shark Petition

** Please join me by signing this petition now **

These ingredients do not belong in our food - especially for children. We deserve the same safer cereals that other countries get.

Go to FoodBabe.com/BabyShark to add your name to the petition now.

Let's tell Kellogg's to keep to their word in removing these artificial ingredients and to stop targeting our kids with risky ingredients they don't use in other countries.

Xo,

Vani

P.S. After you sign, please share this with everyone you know – taking on this multi-billion dollar food corporation will take all of us. Go, Food Babe Army, Go!

This company needs to be held accountable. Get ready.

There is a brand new food product on the market that literally hits me in the gut.

It's a product made for young children, filled with the absolute WORST ingredients. It's manufactured by a large international food corporation who knows better because they don't use these ingredients in other countries with stricter laws.

I decided it was time to call them out and ask them to change.

That's why I've been quietly working on a petition, and it's going to launch TOMORROW.

Can you guess which company I'm petitioning and why? Are you excited? Reply to this email and let me know!

I'm sitting here looking at all we've accomplished together and am in awe…

  • We petitioned Subway to remove azodicarbonamide (aka the "yoga mat chemical") from their bread. And more than 50,000 petition signatures later - they removed it and all artificial ingredients.
This was a feat, but we did it.

We did all of this together and I never could have done it without you. I'm beyond excited to launch a new petition and really hoping to have your support this week. I'll really need it.

My team and I are putting the final touches on everything and will send details to your email once it's ready.

I'll be in touch very soon…

Vani

Quick...Sugar Detox Plan closing tonight.

Just a quick reminder that I'm closing the doors on my 7-Day Sugar Detox program tonight at midnight.

The struggle is real… and I want to help you.

You eat a healthy diet. You exercise when you get the chance. And you do your best to avoid bad additives in your food.

Meanwhile, your favorite pants might not fit, you feel tired all the time, and you're moody. What gives?

Many of the very foods you've been told are good for you are actually flooding your body with SUGAR - which goes by dozens of sneaky names.

You know that a bowl of Froot Loops and a can of Coke are loaded with lots of sugar… but many "healthy" organic and non-GMO foods are loaded with as much (and sometimes MORE) sugar:

Protein shakes, bars, granola, fruity yogurts, soups, and even salad dressing - can be loaded with added sugars.

In the Food Babe 7-Day Sugar Detox I show you how these so-called healthy foods could be sabotaging your health (and your waistline). I give you my proven menu for curbing sugar cravings and resetting your taste buds. All of your food decisions are mapped out for you. The meal plan, shopping list, and recipe guide leave no room for interpretation… all the hard work is done!

I'll give you easy swaps for addicting sugary foods and drinks, keeping your cravings satisfied. When you get withdrawal symptoms (many do), we will be there with proven strategies and support to help you make it through.

You have me… my team… and hundreds of fellow "detoxers" in our private Facebook group cheering you on. I can't tell you how much it helps to have a support team on your side.

Join today as the special savings end tonight. I won't be offering this program again until next year.

P.S. Remember, the entire 7-Day Sugar Detox will not be available again until next year. I hope you use this opportunity to pick it up (it's only 29.99 vs. $125). Here's what people are saying about the program:

"My sugar intake was out of control! My worst time of day was from 8PM to 10PM, when I couldn't inhale enough cookies and/or dark chocolate truffles and/or ice cream. Every night I had to have something sweet. Then when I saw the Food Babe's message about the Sugar Detox, I knew that it was time to make another healthy change to my diet. The best part was getting on the scale and finding that I had lost 4 pounds! I am extremely motivated now, and even started to exercise. All in all, I am trying to maintain a healthy lifestyle and have confidence that I'll be able to continue to eat good foods!" - Lesli

"I am 85 and my husband is 87 and we have both just completed our 7-day Sugar Detox. To date he has lost 5-lbs. and I have lost 2.5-lbs., although I have more to lose than he, proportionately. We have both noticed our desire for sweets has pretty well disappeared and I in particular, have been addicted to sugar my entire life. Also, strangely enough, my arthritic hip seems to be much better." - Greta

"From a physical aspect not only have I lost a few pounds but my clothes are looser and my rings come off a lot easier. I have also noticed that my complexion seems smoother and clearer. I have actually tamed the "sugar craving beast" in me!" - Julia
