You know how it is…
The kids go trick-or-treating and come home with bags full of Snickers, M&M's, Skittles, Reese's Peanut Butter Cups... and all the usual candy full of artificial dyes, corn syrup, and other controversial ingredients.
If you’re anything like me, you don’t want your children eating those ingredients.
So what do I do with all that candy?
I call in the Switch Witch!
This is one of our favorite Halloween traditions, and my kids LOVE it.
Here's how it works:
On Halloween night, my kids leave their candy by the door. While they're sleeping, the Switch Witch comes and swaps it for better treats, books, and little surprises.
When they wake up, they get to discover what she brought!
I honestly thought my kids might resist this idea at first. But they actually get MORE excited about what the Switch Witch brings than they ever did about eating all that junk candy.
They still get to dress up, trick-or-treat with their friends, and have all the fun of Halloween. And I don't have to worry about them eating a giant stash of candy filled with ingredients we avoid.
And I found something that makes this tradition even easier!
A company called Tricked by the Treat, started by two moms, has put together Halloween candy assortments filled with better treats kids actually get excited about.
We're talking chocolate, gummies, lollipops, crispy treats, Swedish candy, and more!
They even have a Switch Witch adventure book to make the whole candy swap extra fun.
You can get 10% off your order with code FOODBABE!

If you've been wondering how to handle all that Halloween candy without taking away the fun, try the Switch Witch this year!
Your kids might surprise you with how much they love it.
Xo,
Vani
P.S. You can also grab their candy assortments to hand out to trick-or-treaters, so you're not giving out the same junk candy as everyone else!
